Duo to low purity, other factors which have influence on synthesis process investigated and observed that pH have key role on process. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns gave crystal structure and the existing phases. Particle size distribution and morphology changes were studied by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and field emission scanning...

Synthesis and Investigation of Antistatic Coating Properties Based on Tin Oxide by Sol-Gel Method

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Zakerizadeh, Ali Mohammad (Author) ; Dolati, Abolghasem (Supervisor) ; Abdollah Afshar (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In order to prevent electrostatic attraction on non-conductive surfaces, the most practical solution is to put antistatic coatings to reduce surface resistance. Nano tin oxide coatings are designed to produce surfaces with antistatic properties in the resistance range of 108-1012 Ω/cm. In this project, using a simple method, low temperature, without heat treatment and without the use of additive (dopant), tin oxide films with antistatic property were placed on the glass. Further, in order to obtain a coating with a suitable morphology and structure to increase the surface conductivity, the synthesis of tin oxide using the sol-gel method at ambient temperature was used. And to place the...

As extractive phases, two identical sheets of electrospun polyamide/polypyrrole/titania nanofibers were synthesized using core–shell electro-spinning technique and utilized for determination of memantine in plasma samples. Field emission scanning electron microscopy images showed a high degree of porosity and homogeneity throughout the sheet structure. Also, energy dispersive X-ray analysis confirmed the presence of titania, while the...

    Abstract
Two series of heat-resistant 25Cr-35Ni-Nb stainless steels with tungsten addition and Nb/C ratio of ≈2.6 and 3.9 were directionally solidified under two cooling rates of 23–6 °C s−1, respectively. EDS analysis, electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) tests were carried out to show that tungsten as a carbide phase nucleant promoted weak coupled eutectic growth of γ/ M7C3 and decreased the lamellar eutectic colonies. Substantial negative segregation of Ni and Fe and positive segregation of Nb and Cr in tungsten-bearing alloys stimulated the γ/M23C6 reaction and the M23C6 possessed a dendritic...

    Abstract
Herein, a novel Pt-APA composite (APA = pyridinium bromide salt) based on magnetic graphene oxide was synthesized and used as an effective catalyst. In this way, Fe3O4 nanoparticles are grown on graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets by a simple and practical method which creates a unique nanostructure (Fe3O4/GO) through dispersing uniformly among graphene nanosheets. The resulted Pt-APA composite was obtained via adding PtCl2 to an ethanol solution of Fe3O4/GO and α-keto stabilized pyridinium ylide in related conditions. The synthesized nanocomposite structure was identified using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive...

    Abstract
An efficient method has been developed to synthesize well-aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on a conductive Ta substrate by chemical vapor deposition. Free-standing MWCNTs arrays were functionalized through electrochemical oxidation with the formation of hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups. Facile template-free electrochemical routes were then developed for the shape-selective synthesis of less-common Au nanostructures, including flower, sphere, dendrite, rod, sheet, and cabbage onto the aligned MWCNTs at room temperature. Especially, among all the synthesis methods for Au nanocrystals, this is the first report using electrochemical technique to synthesize wide variety...
