  7. Abstract:
  8. Nowadays, separate use of traditional service management frameworks and approaches will not meet the needs of businesses and customers. This is because of the very fast change in the environment and the move to the digital age. The integration of traditional approaches into modern ones significantly helps organizations adapt to new needs and changes in the environment. In this research, first, the basic concepts of the ITIL framework as the most widely used IT services management framework have been studied. Then, the COBIT framework as the most accepted IT governance framework has been investigated. The VeriSM approach also has been used as a solution for service management in the digital age. These frameworks have some critical challenges such as incompatibility with the new changes. In recent years, some few approaches are presented to address these challenges. Based on the combination of ITIL and COBIT in the VeriSM approach, a model has been presented in this research. This novel model can respond to changes in the environment and the business with the integration of the ITIL best practice with Agile. The use of COBIT, in the VeriSM model governance element, contributes to the effective governance of the organization. Finally, the proposed model has been evaluated and approved by industry and university experts
