    Abstract
    Surface registration is a necessary step and widely used in medical image-aided surgery. It's relevance to medical imaging is that there is much useful anatomical information in the form of collected surface points which originate from complimentary modalities. In this study, the kinematic relations between two point clouds with different coordinate definitions have been generated. Using Influence Method of surface modeling for extracting point clouds functions, the transformation matrix would be resulted.     Abstract
    An appropriate pre-processing algorithm in classification is not only of great importance with respect to classifier choice, but also would be more crucial. In this paper, a pre-processing step is proposed in order to increase accuracy of classification. The aim of this approach is finding a transformation matrix causes classes to be more discriminable by transforming data into the new space and consequently, increases the classification accuracy.     This paper is focused on the development and verification of a heat attitude model (HAM) for satellite attitude determination. Within this context, the Sun and the Earth are considered as the main external sources of radiation that could effect the satellite surface temperature changes. Assuming that the satellite orbital position (navigational data) is known, the proposed HAM provides the satellite surface temperature with acceptable accuracy and also relates the net heat flux (NHF) of three orthogonal satellite surfaces to its attitude via the inertial to satellite transformation matrix.     In this paper, a novel algorithm for correcting the error of attitude in inertial navigation systems is introduced. Since the oftenly used differential equations of the navigation errors show the small rotation angles instead of the error of Euler angles, the nonlinear equation between the small rotation angles and the error of Euler angles, are derived. To obtain an approximative solution for the derived equations, third order multiplication of the small rotation angles are ignored and error of Euler angles are expressed explicitly as functions of the Euler angles and the small rotation angles.     Abstract
    Wireless channels especially for OFDM transmissions can be precisely approximated by a time varying filter with sparse taps (in the time domain). Sparsity of the channel is a criterion which can highly improve the channel estimation task in mobile applications. In sparse signal processing, many efficient algorithms have been developed for finding the sparsest solution to linear equations (Basis Pursuit, Matching Pursuit) in the presence of noise. In current OFDM standards, a number of the ending subcarriers at both positive and negative frequencies are left unoccupied (for ease of analog filtering at the receiver) which results in an ill-conditioned frequency to time transformation matrix....

    Capture of the discrete nature of crystalline solids for the purpose of the determination of their mechanical behavior with high precision is of interest. To achieve this objective, two fundamental contributing factors are on top of the list: (1) formulation in the mathematical framework of an appropriate higher order continuum theory rather than using classical treatment, and (2) incorporation of the true anisotropy of the media.     Abstract
    This paper presents a novel and fast homography-based tracking method to segment and track the instructor placed in front of a class board using two synchronized views. In the proposed method we estimate the instructor as a planar object and track its planar parameters. At first, the homography of board and fundamental geometry of two views are extracted using six point correspondences. The homography transformation matrix of object is calculated by obtaining three point correspondences in parallax region introduced with homography of the board.     Abstract
    A new algorithm for complete pre-flight calibration of triple magnetometers is developed. The traditional approach for calibrating these sensors are based on a cumbersome procedure called 'swing' that involves levelling and rotating the vehicle containing the magnetometers through a series of known headings. Application of such a procedure is difficult and costly. Recently, new approaches have been developed to calibrate magnetometers without the need of attitude information. Such methods are used mostly for the calibration of biases and scale factors.
