    Abstract
    Although, enhanced security is often mentioned as a noticeable benefit of Spectrally Phase Encoded Optical CDMA (SPE-OCDMA) systems, the quantity and degree of security enhancement is not considered deeply in the literature. One of the facts in determining the degree of security is to assess the resistance capability of the system against various jammers attacks. In this paper, we introduce and model three types of jammers, namely (Pulse Jammer, Partialband Jammer, and Follower Jammer).     Abstract
    In this paper, the performances of both uncoded and coded multiple access TH-UWB systems, introduced in [1-3] in multipath Rayleigh fading channels, are evaluated. The receiver is a selective diversity combining receiver, known as SRake. Based on a Gaussian distribution assumption for the multiple access interference at the output of the SRake receiver and by using a virtual branch technique, as introduced in [4,5], the bit error rates for uncoded and coded schemes are derived. The performance analysis shows that the effective order of diversity achieved by the coded scheme is the product of the number of branches of the SRake receiver and the Hamming distance of the code applied....

    Abstract
    The performance of a three-dimensional optical code-division multiple-access system based on polarization-wavelength-time codes is investigated. The unwanted effects of multiple access interference are first studied and an accurate enough expression is given for the upper bound of the bit error rate. The proposed expression is obtained by decomposing the three-dimensional polarization-wavelength-time codes into horizontally and vertically polarized two-dimensional wavelength-time codes that are assumed to be statistically independent.     Abstract
    In this paper a new IR-UWB pulse generator circuit is proposed which is capable of solving the coexistence problem of narrowband and ultra wideband communication systems. This is done by creating a notch in the PSD of the generated UWB signal and adjusting its center frequency at the frequency of the narrowband interference. Using a triangular pulse generator, a triangular signal is generated and applied to the proposed circuit which consists of three main function blocks including quadratic, exponential and differentiator circuits.     In this paper, we focus on the problem of hierarchical cross- layer dynamic resource allocation for heterogeneous networks with flexible backhaul. We formulate the radio resource management problem as a two timescale non-convex stochastic optimisation problem which jointly optimizes flow control, routing control, interference mitigation and link scheduling in order to maximize a generic network utility.     In this paper we study the performance of Spectrally-Encoded Spread-Time (SE/ST) technique when applied to ultrawideband (UWB) signals in the context of wireless code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communication.     In this paper, we consider the internally coded time-hopping spread-time multiple access scheme introduced in [1]. We evaluate the performance of the correlator receiver followed by the Viterbi algorithm in fading channel. We analyze the effect of multiple access interference (MAI) and narrowband interference (NBI).     In this paper, the extension of cooperative communication to the context of TH-UWB is investigated. In particular, the average bit error probability (BEP) is provided for cooperative TH-UWB systems with decode-and-forward relaying protocol. In the considered relay network, UWB links among the nodes are modeled according to IEEE 802.15.4a standards. Our methodology is based on computing the Characteristic Function (CF) of the decision variable at the destination terminal.     The unique properties of modified Hermite pulses is utilized to develop a novel pulse technique for Ultra Wideband (UWB) communications. The proposed method increases the bandwidth of the pulse up to 10 GHz and overcomes the coexistence problem of UWB and vulnerable narrowband systems through suppressing narrowband interference.     We consider a combined time-hopping (TH) and spread-time (ST) multiple-access technique that uses an internal code. In this method, the duration of each bit is divided into Ns frames.     In this paper, an iterative signal reconstruction method is extended to cancel multi-user clipping noise in a uplink MC-CDMA systems. Clipping is the simplest method to overcome high peak-to-average power ratio of multi-carrier signals but it makes the multi-carrier signals distorted.
