    Winding configuration is a crucial factor that highly affects the accuracy of resolvers. A nonoptimal winding could also make the manufacturing process complicated and costly inefficient.     Abstract
    We present a theoretical model for the strategic behavior of power plants in the electricity wholesale market in the pay-as-bid auctioning format. We obtain the optimization condition which is a relationship that relates the strategy function of each firm to its cost function and the probability distribution of the market-clearing price from the viewpoint of that firm. Next, by obtaining the Bayesian Nash equilibrium for the pay-as-bid and the uniform-price markets separately and by simulation, we calculate the total production cost in both cases and compare it with the social planner case. Using the maximum principle approach, the optimal strategies and interactions among price, warranty length, and production rate in both markets are analyzed using some propositions.     A new method has been employed in this research that optimizes a power generation system by maximizing the first and second law efficiencies and minimizing the entropy generation. Mass flow rates of pollutants and related external social cost of air pollution have been considered in estimating the electricity production cost. The effects of regenerative and CHP heat exchangers on power production, efficiencies, and production cost have been evaluated.
