    Abstract
    Morus Alba or mulberry is a wood species that is broadly used in making musical instruments in Eastern countries. However, the mechanical and acoustical properties of this type of wood are not investigated properly. In this study a set of features, previously examined for other species, are applied to this wood and its acoustic quality is evaluated. Setar, a Persian musical instrument made of mulberry wood, is selected as the test case of this experiment. The imidazole group is particularly essential because it can be transformed into dimers, which can then be radicalized in the presence of light photons. Imidazole dimers have been optimized throughout thirty years of research, allowing derivatives with diverse colors, quick reversibility, and sensitivity to different wavelengths from UV to near IR ranges. Design/methodology/approach - A model named Plant Function Deployment (PFD) is developed, in which the methodology of quality function deployment (QFD) is added to RCM to improve RCM capability in preserving the functions of the plants.     Abstract
    Partial purification of plant peroxidase from turnip (Brassica rapa) was optimized. Aqueous two phase system and precipitation by ammonium sulfate (as two parallel purification methods) were used. Polyethylene glycol/ammonium sulfate/NaCl (25:7:3%, w/v) system followed by gel-filtration chromatography gave a purification factor of about 36 fold. On the other hand, ammonium sulfate precipitation (60-80% deg) followed by gel filtration gave only about 13 purification fold.     Celery residue modified with H2SO4 was utilized as a low-cost adsorbent for elimination of methylene blue cationic dye from aqueous solution in batch adsorption process.     Here, we report the synthesis and characterization of a binuclear Co(ii) complex (Co2(2py)2Cl4) with two dinaphtho-diazacrown ether macrocyclic ligands, bearing two pyridine arms as a colourimetric and fluorescent sensor for detecting different xylene isomers as well as acting as a catalyst for the oxidation of o- and m-xylene under vacuum at room temperature.     Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry combined with iterative and non-iterative resolution methods was used to characterize the essential oil components of Iranian cumin and caraway. Orthogonal projection resolution (OPR) as a non-iterative and distance-selection-multivariate curve resolution-alternative least squares (DS-MCR-ALS) as an iterative method were used as auxiliary means to the analysis in the case of overlapping peaks. A total of 19 and 39 components were identified by direct similarity searches for cumin and caraway oils, respectively. A Taguchi orthogonal array design with an OA16 (45) matrix was used to evaluate the effects of five extraction variables: pressure of 150-310bar, temperature of 40-60°C, average particle size of 250-1000μm, CO2 flow rate of 2-10ml/s and dynamic extraction time of 30-100min.
