    Dynamics of scratch drive actuators during stepwise motion

    Abstract
    In this paper, a comprehensive model is used to describe dynamic behavior of SDA and its components during stepwise motion. In this model, Hamilton’s principle and Newton's method are used to extract dynamic equations of the SDA plate and dynamic equation for the linear motion of SDA. Comparison between the modeling results and available experimental data shows that this model is very effective in predicting some design objectives such as step size and output force for this type of actuators

    Abstract
    There is growing interest in applying distributed machine learning to edge computing, forming federated edge learning. Federated edge learning faces non-i.i.d. and heterogeneous data, and the communication between edge workers, possibly through distant locations and with unstable wireless networks, is more costly than their local computational overhead.     Abstract
    Assessment of the macrocell corrosion which deteriorates reinforced concrete (RC) structures have attracted the attention of many researchers during recent years. In this type of rebar corrosion, the reduction in cross-section of the rebar is significantly accelerated due to the large ratio of the cathode's area to the anode's area. In order to examine the problem, an analytical solution is proposed for prediction of the response of the RC structure from the time of steel depassivation to the stage just prior to the onset of microcrack propagation.     Semi-Supervised Learning (SSL) has become a topic of recent research that effectively addresses the problem of limited labeled data. Many SSL methods have been developed based on the manifold assumption, among them, the Local and Global Consistency (LGC) is a popular method. The problem with most of these algorithms, and in particular with LGC, is the fact that their naive implementations do not scale well to the size of data.     Abstract
    For speeding up the complex fractured reservoir simulating, we have given more attention to reducing runtime and improving efficiency of the solver. In this work, we describe an improved and computationally efficient version of Newton's method, which reduces the non-linear iteration count, increases time steps, and furthermore reduces time spent in nonlinear loops of reservoir simulating. Safeguarded variants of Newton's method which have used in current reservoir simulators cannot guarantee convergence of the solution, especially in highly heterogeneous, detailed and fractured reservoirs.     Abstract
    The Analytic 6 D.O.F. dynamic model of a helicopter is developed for 3D computer generated imagery simulator. Analytic expressions for the forces and moments on the various helicopter components are derived. By using the forces and moments equilibrium, helicopter trim point is determined using Newton's method of solving the nonlinear set of trim equations.
