    Abstract
    In this paper, development of a MATLAB-based computer environment for optimization of EMS calibration is presented. The objective is to eliminate the complicated and tedious calibration process on chassis dynamometer or at least reduce the time required. In this way, first a black-box model of engine is developed. Then this model is linked to ADVISOR -The renowned vehicle simulation software- to obtain an integrated engine-driveline model.     A new computational algorithm is introduced in the present study to solve multimaterial topology optimization problems. It is based on the penalization of the objective functional by the multiphase volume constrained Ginzburg-Landau energy functional. The update procedure is based on the gradient flow of the objective functional by a fractional step projected steepest descent method. In the first step, the new design is found based on the projected steepest descent method to ensure the reduction in the objective functional, simultaneously satisfying the control constraints.     A new switching method for the stabilisation of a one-dimensional capacitor array tank for the stepwise charging of a load capacitor is presented. In this method, the tank capacitor configuration is rearranged in a circular manner once the charging process of a load capacitor finishes and before the charging process of a new load capacitor begins. Unlike previously reported methods, this method does not require backward switching for the stabilisation of tank capacitor voltages.     The objective of this paper is designing, modeling and wrench feasible workspace analysis of a 3D cable suspended robot as IRPM (Incompletely Restrained Positioning Mechanism).     One of the most important issues in planning the "reservoir" type of hydro-power plants (HPP) is to determine the installation capacity of the HPPs and estimate its annual energy value. In this paper, a method is presented. A computer program has been developed to analyze energy calculation and estimation of the most important economic indices of an HPP using the sensitivity analysis method. Another program, developed by Matlab software, calculates the reliability indices for a number of units of an HPP with a specified load duration curve using the Monte Carlo method.     An unconditionally energy stable time stepping scheme is introduced to solve Cahn-Morral-like equations in the present study. It is constructed based on the combination of David Eyre's time stepping scheme and Schur complement approach. Although the presented method is general and independent of the choice of homogeneous free energy density function term, logarithmic and polynomial energy functions are specifically considered in this paper. The method is applied to study the spinodal decomposition in multi-component systems and optimal space tiling problems.     Abstract
    A novel frequency synthesizer architecture for reducing spur level is presented. By using a feedforward path a new zero in the transfer function is generated which enables us to increase the capacitor tied to the control voltage line and thus reducing spur level. A fast settling technique is also used to compensate the effect of spur reduction technique on settling time. Different blocks of frequency synthesizer are implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. Simulations show 13 dB improvement in reference spur level compared to conventional architecture for a 2.4 GHz frequency synthesizer

    A new secret sharing scheme for audio secrets is proposed, while the previous audio secret sharing schemes use a bit-string secret. The scheme is a perfect (2, n) threshold scheme, like the schemes proposed so far.     In pebble bed reactors, the core is filled with thousands of graphite and fuel pebbles. Fuel pebbles in these reactors consist of TRISO particles, which are embedded in a graphite matrix stochastically. The reactor core is also stochastically filled with pebbles. These two stochastic geometries comprise the so-called double heterogeneous nature of this type of reactor. In this paper, a pebble bed reactor, the HTR-10, is used to demonstrate a treatment of this double heterogeneity using the MCNP5 Monte Carlo code and MATLAB programming.     Nano-micro grippers are able to pick-transport-place the micro or nanometer -sized materials, such as manipulation of biological cells or DNA molecules in a liquid medium. This paper proposes a novel monolithic nano-micro gripper structure with two axis piezoresistive force sensor which its resolution is under nanoNewton.     Abstract
    This paper presents the stability analysis for a single-phase phase-locked loop (PLL) for power systems applications. The dynamical equations of a previously presented single-phase PLL are systematically derived and linearized for design and stability analysis purposes. Based on the linearized model of the PLL, parameters of the loop filter and the PI controller are accurately determined. The main advantages of the PI controller are discussed as well as its design procedure. Moreover, it is shown that, unlike the conventional single-phase PLLs, the mentioned PLL does not suffer from double-frequency ripples.
