    Abstract
    A new approach for tracking targets in TWS systems is introduced which is based on Hough transform. The main idea is to take target's velocity and course of motion as the main tracking quantities and calculate other kinematic parameters of the target from these two main parameters. The main criteria for associating targets to tracks in Data Association (DA) step is co linearity of targets with the history of track and Hough transform is the main tool in this step. Computer simulation results are presented to compare the performance of the suggested algorithm with the conventional tracking systems

    Abstract
    Movement and transportation of fine particles in formations leads to clogging the pores and reduction in permeability. This type of formation damage is stronglycontingent upon water salinity and ionic conditions in the formation. The main parameters which control the particle release are the interactions and forces between particles and porous medium surfaces. Changing salinity which leads to pH alteration, affects these interactions and subsequently the fine migration process. Hence, pH and salinity variations should be considered to study and evaluate the portion of fine migration in formation damage.     Abstract
    Passive radars use illuminators of opportunity to detect target and measure its parameters. The usual processing routine consists of direct path interference and clutter removal and computation of cross ambiguity function (CAF) to estimate ampIitude-range-Doppler surface. Main parameters affecting this procedure are direct path interference and clutter, receiver thermal noise and near large targets. This paper presents an investigation on effect of each parameter and tries to estimate processing gain of each Block.     Abstract
    Reduction in ship resistance, in order to decrease fuel consumption and also achieve higher speeds, has been the topic of major research over the last three decades. One of the most attractive ideas in this field is micro bubble drag reduction, which attempts to obtain optimum injection flow rate based on ship specifications. The model test results of a 70 cm catamaran model was used to quantify the effect of air injection rate on drag reduction, and to estimate a simple formulation for calculating an efficient injection rate by considering the main parameters of the ship, such as: length, width and speed.     In this letter we introduce an effective tool to demonstrate signal power behavior of a typical spectrallyencoded spread-time (SE/ST) CDMA system using probabilistic approach. By denning power level profile (PLP), as the probability of stretching instantaneous power from a pre-specified threshold, we can find novel upper bounds on the signal power profile. We discuss various properties owing to PLP and elaborate on the main parameters affecting the PLP value.     Abstract
    It is known that the thermomechanical processing is one of the most important techniques for improving quality and mechanical properties of microalloyed steels. In this paper, the main parameters of hot forging (preheat temperature, strain and post-forging cooling rate) on the primary austenite grain size of vanadium microalloyed steel (30MSV6) were studied. From this investigation, it was found that increasing preheat temperature from 1150 °C to 1300 °C will result in a decrease in grain size number. Furthermore, it has shown that as the strain increases, the austenite grain size number increases, as is evident for the two cooling rates of 2.5 °C/s and 1.5 °C/s for primary austenite....

    Abstract
    Rate, energy and delay are three main parameters of interest in ad-hoc networks. In this paper, we discuss the problem of maximizing network utility and minimizing energy consumption while satisfying a given transmission delay constraint for each packet. We formulate this problem in the standard convex optimization form and subsequently discuss the tradeoff between utility, energy and delay in such framework. Also, in order to adapt for the distributed nature of the network, a distributed algorithm where nodes decide on choosing transmission rates and probabilities based on their local information is introduced. ©2009 IEEE

    This study investigates the mechanical properties of lightweight polymer concrete (LWPC) containing four different polymer ratios (10%, 12%, 14%, and 16%) tested at three different temperatures (−15 °C, +5 °C, and +25 °C) using destructive and non-destructive tests.     In this paper, the performance of a turbocharger twin-entry radial inflow turbine is investigated analytically and experimentally under steady state, full and partial admission conditions. In this modeling, the mass flow rate, pressure ratio and efficiency of the turbine are assumed unknown. The turbine geometry and the inlet total pressure and temperature are known, hence, the turbine performance characteristics can be obtained.
