    Graphene oxide for rapid determination of testosterone in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide in urine and blood plasma of athletes

    Abstract
    Electro-reduction behavior of testosterone at reduced graphene oxide/glassy carbon electrode (rGO/GCE) was studied. Cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) enhanced the reduction peak of testosterone. In borate buffer (pH 5.4) CTAB-testosterone showed a reduction peak at - 1.1 V (versus, Ag/AgCl). The increment of peak current obtained by deducting the reduction peak current of the CTAB-testosterone was rectilinear with testosterone concentration in the range of 2.0 to 210.0 nM, with a detection limit of 0.1 nM.     There are considerable investigations on wettability alteration in carbonate reservoirs in recent years. The presence of ions including Ca, Si, Al etc in natural carbonate rocks and also the presence of various fatty acids, resins, asphaltenes etc in crude oil makes it difficult to understand the complex mechanism of wettability alteration by using surfactants.     Abstract
    The critical micelle concentration (CMC) of a set of 30 alkyltrimethylammonium [RN+(R′)3X-] and alkylpyridinium salts [RN+φX-] was related to topological, electronic, and molecular structure parameters using a stepwise regression method. Among different models obtained, two equations were selected as the best and their specifications are given. The statistics for these models together with the crossvalidation results indicate the capability of both models to predict the CMC of cationic surfactants.     In this paper, different injectivity scenarios were experimentally investigated in a coreflooding system to observe the efficiency of each method in laboratory conditions. Surfactant flooding, CO2 injection, carbonated water injection (CWI), active carbonated water injection (ACWI), after water flooding were investigated through the coreflooding system. First, it is necessary to optimize the surfactant concentration and then use it in ACWI injection.     The electrodeposition of Zn-SiO2 nanocomposites has been investigated with different electrolytes: triethanolamine as a dispersing agent, and cetyl trimethylammonium bromide and dodecyl dimethylamine oxide as ionic (cationic) and non-ionic surfactants. Appropriate electrophoretic potentials for each solution were obtained using cyclic voltammetry. However, long-term foam stability is crucial for mobility control.     Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer flooding is one of the most novel chemical enhanced oil recovery methods in the petroleum industry. This method has attracted interest due to its remarkable advantages. In this work, a series of ASP floods are conducted on fractured/non-fractured carbonate rocks.     The rising velocity of air bubbles in surfactant solutions is a sensitive measure for the formation of a dynamic adsorption layer (DAL) at the bubble surface. Due to a certain surface coverage by adsorbed species the bubble surface starts to become immobilized and the rising velocity is retarded. There is a large difference in the retardation effect in presence of the protein β-lactoglobulin (BLG) alone and its mixed solutions with surfactants.     Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) powders were synthesized by a sol-gel auto-combustion method using cationic and anionic surfactants with different values and different calcination times and temperatures. The final products were characterized by DTA/TG, XRD, TEM and VSM techniques. The results showed a decrease in calcination temperature and crystallite size in the presence of a cationic surfactant, while no significant effect was observed using an anionic surfactant.
