    Abstract
Microstructure and mechanical properties of AA2024 after severe plastic deformation (SPD) and non-isothermal annealing were investigated. The non-isothermal treatment was carried out on the severely deformed AA2024, and the interaction between restoration and precipitation phenomena was investigated. Differential scanning calorimetry, hardness and shear punch tests illustrate that static recovery and dissolution of GPB zones/Cu–Mg co-clusters occur concurrently through non-isothermal annealing. Scanning electron microscope and electron backscatter diffraction illustrate that non-isothermal annealing of deformed AA2024 up to 250 °C promotes the particle-free regions and also particle...

Injectable chitosan/κ-carrageenan hydrogel designed with au nanoparticles: A conductive scaffold for tissue engineering demands

    , Article International Journal of Biological Macromolecules ; Volume 126 , 2019 , Pages 310-317 ; 01418130 (ISSN) Pourjavadi, A ; Doroudian, M ; Ahadpour, A ; Azari, S ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Scaffolds for tissue engineering of specific sites such as cardiac, nerve, and bone tissues need a comprehensive design of three dimensional materials that covers all aspects of chemical composition and physical structures, required for regeneration of desired cells. Hydrogels, possessing highly hydrated and interconnected structures, are promising materials for tissue engineering applications. Improvement of an injectable hydrogel from biocompatible polysaccharides and poly‑N‑isopropyl acryl amide enriched with Au nanoparticles are the main goal of this study. Two main enhancements in this study are included mixture design of the components and addition of Au nanoparticles to access a...

    Abstract
The bioavailability of drugs can be improved by regulating the structural properties, particularly lipoid systems, such as niosomes, can increase cellular uptake. Herein, we optimized double emulsion and niosomal formulations for encapsulating anthocyanin-rich black carrot extract. Nanoparticles obtained by selected formulation were characterized in terms of morphology, particle size, drug encapsulation efficiency, in vitro release and cytotoxicity. The optimum conditions for niosomal formulation were elicited as 30 mg of cholesterol, 150 mg of Tween 20 and feeding time of 1 min at a stirring rate of 900 rpm yielding the lowest average particle size of 130 nm. In vitro release data showed...
