    Measuring minimum critical flow for normal breath sounds

    Abstract
    Relationship between respiratory sounds and flow has always been of interest for researchers and physicians. However, the flow-sound relationship at very low flow rate has been questionable because breath sounds must exceed a minimum flow in order to be audible and different from the background noise. This study aimed to find the minimum critical flow rates for respiratory sounds to be audible and different from background noise.     In this paper the effect of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and anisotropy on the entanglement of Heisenberg chain has been studied. While the anisotropy suppresses the entanglement due to favoring of the alignment of spins, the DM interaction restores the spoiled entanglement via creation of the quantum fluctuations. Thermodynamic limit of the model and emerging of nonanalytic behavior of the entanglement have also been probed. The singularities of the entanglement correspond to the critical boundary separating different phases of the model.     Oxygen reduction on a polycrystalline silver electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The reaction occurred by a two-electron pathway. The steps in the mechanism were observed in the cyclic voltammograms recorded with different scan rates.     This paper presents an efficient High-Level Synthesis (HLS) approach to improve RT-Level concurrent testing. The proposed method used for both fault detection and fault location. At first the available resources are used in their dead intervals to test active resources for fault detection, and then some changes are applied to the RT-Level controller to locate the faults.     Abstract
    The problem of time delay estimation (TDE) in the presence of zero mean white Gaussian noise is addressed. A novel and efficient algorithm for obtaining Conditional Maximum Likelihood (CML) estimates of delays, attenuation factors and the number of paths from a transmitter to a receiver is introduced. This approach is quite suitable for the cases in which time delay difference is less than the duration of signal autocorrelation

    Noise contamination is inevitable in biomedical recordings. In some cases biomedical recordings are highly contaminated with artifacts which make the effective recovering process hard to achieve.     This paper focuses on localizing acoustic source using fuzzy logic. For this purpose, an array of microphones are used as sensors. The Time Delay Estimation (TDE) is performed by correlation between received signals from each pair of microphones. In this paper, instead of assuming a crisp value as a TDOA, we introduce fuzzy number of TDOA in which the absolute value of the cross correlation function is normalized and then assumed as TDOA membership function for each pair of microphones.     A chemically modified carbon-paste electrode (CPE) is prepared by incorporating congo red (CR) immobilized on multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT). The results show that CR is effectively immobilized on the surface of MWCNT under the ultrasonic agitation in aqueous solution and further incorporating the nafion.     The present paper describes a set of procedures for the solution of nonlinear equilibrium problems in complex multibody systems. To find the equilibrium position of the system, six different optimization algorithms are used to minimize the total potential energy (TPE) of the system and compared with respect to accuracy and efficiency. A computer program is developed to evaluate the equality constraints and objective function of a general multibody dynamic system to find the equilibrium condition.     The Dual-Arm Cam-Lock (DACL) robot manipulators are reconfigurable arms formed by two parallel cooperative manipulators. Some of their joints may lock into each other.     Semiconducting lead sulfide film was deposited on Stainless Steel (SS) electrode by cyclic voltammetry (CV) at room temperature. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry were used to investigate the electrochemical properties of PbS film in Na2SO4 solution. The voltammetric results showed that oxidative dissolution of PbS film occurred at about 0.21 V vs. Ag/AgCl and total film detachment from the surface occurs with increasing potential. It is concluded that the electrode surface was not passivated by sulfur produced from oxidative dissolution of PbS film.     Wastewater of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) from a petrochemical plant was examined in a membrane-less single chamber microbial fuel cell for the first time. Time course of voltage during the cell operation cycle had two steady phases, which refers to the fact that metabolism of microorganisms was shifted from highly to less biodegradable carbon sources.
