    Abstract
    Given measurement difficulties, earlier modeling studies have often used some constant ratios to predict lumbar segmental kinematics from measurements of total lumbar kinematics. Recent imaging studies suggested distribution of lumbar kinematics across its vertebrae changes with trunk rotation, lumbar posture, and presence of load. An optimization-based method is presented and validated in this study to predict segmental kinematics from measured total lumbar kinematics.     Abstract
    This paper presents a comprehensive study on the Full-Rate and Linear-Receiver (FRLR) STBC proposed as a newly coding scheme with the low decoding complexity for a 2×2 MIMO system. It is shown that the FRLR code suffers from the lack of the non-vanishing determinant (NVD) property that is a key parameter in designing a full-rate STBC with a good performance in higher data rates, across QAM constellation. To overcome this drawback, we show that the existence of the NVD feature for the FRLR code depends on the type of the modulation. In particular, it is analytically proved that the FRLR code fulfills the NVD property across the PAM constellation but not for the QAM scheme. Simulation results...

    Abstract
    Traffic models exert different message flows in a network and have a considerable effect on power consumption through different applications. So a good power analysis should consider traffic models. In this paper we present power and throughput models in terms of traffic rate parameters for the most popular traffic models, i.e. Uniform, Local, HotSpot and First Matrix Transpose (FMT) as a permutational traffic model. We also select Mesh topology as the most prominent NoC topology and validate the presented models by comparing our results against simulation results from Synopsys Power Compiler and Modelsim From the comparison, we show that our modeling approach leads to average error of 2%...
