    , Article Progress in Reaction Kinetics and Mechanism ; Volume 41, Issue 1 , 2016 , Pages 57-66 ; 14686783 (ISSN) Rahman Setayesh, S ; Abolhasani, E ; Ghasemi, S ; Sharif University of Technology
    Science Reviews 2000 Ltd  2016
    Abstract
TiO2, transition metal (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn)- and aluminum-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel technique. The sulfated catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method with H2SO4 solution. The catalysts were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET surface area measurement, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) techniques. The sulfate content of the metal-incorporated samples was considerably higher than for SO4 2-/TiO2. The metal doping brought about a considerable reduction in the extent of sulfate loss from the catalyst surface due to the wide dispersion on the surface. The SO4 2-/TiO2 and SO4 2-/M/TiO2...

    Abstract
Electric field enhanced approach has been used to synthesize different copper hydroxide morphologies as high-performance supercapacitors electrode materials. Employing this efficient, simple and low cost method, various shapes such as rod, flower and cube with an average grain size of 30nm to 1μm were obtained on the copper substrate. The results revealed that applied electric field considerably accelerates the formation time of nanostructures from several days to close to 1min, where some of the desired nanostructures were obtained even in 1s. The electrochemical properties of different morphologies were compared using cyclic voltammograms and charge/discharge tests and electrochemical...

    , Article Proceedings - 2009 3rd International Conference on Sensor Technologies and Applications, SENSORCOMM 2009, 18 June 2009 through 23 June 2009, Athens, Glyfada ; 2009 , Pages 588-595 ; 9780769536699 (ISBN) Jalalinia, F ; Ghasemi, S ; Sharif University of Technology
    2009
    Abstract
In this paper, an approach for topology control has been proposed which make use of distance estimation and angle of arrival (AoA) estimation techniques. Every node in the network tries to keep the number of its neighbors to 4 or 3. These neighbors have been selected from the nearest neighbors of each node and are located in different four quarters of axis. The angular difference between these neighbors is between a minimum and maximum value. This protocol guarantees connectivity on the communication graph with high probability and enforces symmetry on the resulting communication graph, thereby easing the operation of higher level protocols. The performance of the protocol when nodes are...

    Elsevier Ltd  2022
    Abstract
Herein, the effect of electrodeposition time on the super-capacitive performance of three-dimensional (3D) MnO2/g-C3N4 heterostructured electrodes was investigated. MnO2 nanoparticles were electrodeposited on the g-C3N4 nanosheets drop-casted on the Ni foam substrate. The microstructural analysis, carried out by FE-SEM and TEM, confirmed the homogeneous distribution of MnO2 nanoparticles on g-C3N4 nano-sheet layers. The electrochemical capacitive performances of the MnO2/g-C3N4 electrodes were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge tests, and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). The obtained results suggested that the supercapacitor (SC) performance of all...

    Abstract
We have implemented three approaches to describe the thermodynamic properties of ferrimagnetic (S=52, s=2) spin chains. The application of cumulant expansion has been generalized to the ferrimagnetic chain in the presence of an external magnetic field. Using cumulants, we have obtained the field-dependent effective Hamiltonian in terms of the classical variables up to the second order of quantum corrections. Thermodynamic functions, the internal energy, the specific heat, and the magnetic susceptibility are obtained from the effective Hamiltonian. We have also examined the modified spin-wave theory to derive the same physical properties. Finally, we have studied our model using quantum Monte...

    Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new trust-region method for solving nonlinear systems of equalities and inequalities. The algorithm combines both standard and adaptive trust-region frameworks to construct the steps of the algorithm. The trust-region subproblem is solved in the first iteration using a given initial radius. Then, in each iteration, the standard trust-region method is followed whenever the current trial step is accepted, otherwise, the subproblem is resolved using an adaptive scheme. The convergence results for the new proposed algorithm are established under some mild and standard assumptions. Numerical results on some least-squares test problems show the efficiency and...
