    In this paper, we consider the network coding in networks with broadcast channels (called hypernetworks) as the first step for applying network coding to wireless networks. We first prove a Max-Flow Min-Cut theorem for such networks. While we propose an algorithm to achieve this bound, we will introduce new definitions and provide sufficient tools to extend many of the theorems stated for flows in wireline networks to the case of hypernetworks. As an example, we will extend the Max-Flow Min-Cut condition for feasibility of the point-to-point connection in wireline networks to the case of hypernetworks.     Abstract
    The spread of information cascades over social networks forms the diffusion networks. The latent structure of diffusion networks makes the problem of extracting diffusion links difficult. As observing the sources of information is not usually possible, the only available prior knowledge is the infection times of individuals. We confront these challenges by proposing a new method called DNE to extract the diffusion networks by using the time-series data.     The aim of this paper is to simulate numerically the airflow induced by a walking visitor and its effects on the contaminant transport and ventilation system effectiveness. To this end, the following models will be used in this study: the Lagrangian Discrete Random Walk (DRW) model to trace the motion of BCPs, the dynamic mesh method to simulate the visitor movement, and the Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) model to solve the airflow.     A family of conformational rheological models for multi-component miscible polymer blends is developed using a modified form of the Poisson bracket formulation. Two conformation tensors called c1 and c2 are introduced to show the orientation of the first and the second components of a blend, respectively. The mobility tensor and the energy function for each blend component are expressed in terms of these conformation tensors. The interaction effects are also included by energy expressions.     It has been realized that the raft (mat) foundations are capable of bearing very large loads when they are assisted with a pile group. The contribution of both raft and piles to carry the surcharge loads is taken into account, considering the stiffness and strength of involved elements in the system, i.e. piles, raft and surrounding soil. The piles are usually required not to ensure the overall stability of the foundation but to act as settlement reducers.     Abstract
    We have studied the effect of sintering temperature on the weak link behavior of polycrystalline Bi2223 superconductors with different intergranular coupling using the XRD, electrical resistivity and AC susceptibility techniques. The XRD results show that by increasing sintering temperature up to 865°C the Bi2212 phase fraction decrease. It was found that the Bi2212 phase on the grain boundaries is likely to play the role of weak links and consequently reduces the intergranular critical current densities. © 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.     Effects of reduced frequency, stop angle, and pause duration have been studied on a thin supercritical airfoil undergoing a pitch-pause-return motion, which is one of the classic maneuvers introduced by the AIAA Fluid Dynamics Technical Committee. Experiments were conducted in a low-speed wind tunnel at both a constant mean angle of attack and an oscillation amplitude with a reduced frequency ranging from 0.01 to 0.12. The desired stop angles of the airfoil were set to occur during the upstroke motion.     In this work, silicon carbide (SiC) was utilized as a binding agent to fuse carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into highly tough dense CNT bulk nanocomposites through spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. Phase studies were performed using x-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and obtained results were verified by the microstructural evolution. However, lack of cornea throughout the world makes this treatment difficult. Therefore, the first goal of the present study is to make a chitosan/gelatin hyaline film with NHS and EDC crosslinkers for transplanting the epithelial cells of the cornea.
