    Abstract
    McPherson suspension mechanism is one of the widespread mounted mechanisms in front axle of Front Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicles with transverse engine. In this study the kinematics of McPherson suspension mechanism is optimised in order to achieve the desired kinematic behavior and improve vehicle stability. First, the mechanism was modeled in Mechanical Desktop software package and the model transferred to Working Model 3D software for kinematic analysis.     Abstract
    Blood cell segmentation is a crucial part of many medical and laboratory procedures such as cell counting and blood cell disorder diagnosis. Among different types of blood cells, white blood cells are the most important clinically, as they suffer greatest from blood disorders. In this paper we propose a method for automatic segmentation of white blood cells nucleus. A distinctive function is used in YCbCr color space to segment the white blood cells nucleus. Next, the sub-images are extracted which contain the whole body of white blood cell nucleus.     Abstract
    Liquefaction is one of the most serious geotechnical hazards that may cause irreparable and financial damages. Based on in-situ testing results, several methods have been developed to evaluate the liquefaction potential. Due to continuous and repeated records, the piezocone (CPTu) has gained wide acceptance among other in-situ tests in geotechnical practice. In this paper, a new approach is proposed for liquefaction potential evaluation based on CPTu results.     Diquaternarization of dipyrido-[2,3-a:2′,3′-c]-phenazine,(dppz) and its analogous dipyrido-[2,3-a:2′,3′-c]-dimethylphenazine,(dppx) using 1,3-dibromopropane afford new water-soluble derivatives of phenazine, propylene-bipyridyldiylium-phenazine (1) and propylene-bipyridyldiylium-dimethylphenazine (2). The compounds have been characterized by means of FT-IR, NMR, elemental analysis and conductometric measurements and their structure were determined by X-ray crystallography.     The new water-soluble derivative of pyrazino[2,3-f][1,10] phenanthroline has been synthesized and characterized by conductivity measurement, elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopic studies, as well as single crystal x-ray crystallography. Theoretical calculations have been performed using the density functional theory (DFT) in order to confirm the structure and understand the electronic structure of the synthesized compound. The DNA binding properties of the compound were investigated by absorption spectroscopy, melting temperature and viscosity measurements.     Abstract
    In this paper, a mechanism for fabrication of nanostructured hydroxyapatite coating on TiO2 nanotubes is presented. Also, the physical, biological, and nanomechanical properties of the anodized Ti6Al4V alloy consisting TiO2 nanotubes, electrodeposited hydroxyapatite, and the hydroxyapatite/TiO2 nanotubes double layer coating on Ti6Al4V alloy implants are compared. Mean cell viability of the samples being 84.63 % for uncoated plate, 91.53 % for electrodeposited hydroxyapatite, and 94.98 % for hydroxyapatite/TiO2 nanotubes coated sample were in the acceptable range.     Iran, with a record of over one century of oil production, is currently one of the major oil producing countries of the world. Several of the old fields have been depleted to an uneconomical level of production which requires significant amount of natural gas for re-injection so that currently over 100 million cubic meters of natural gas is reinjected daily to maintain or enhance oil production to an economical level.     Background: Studying the kinematics of the ACL deficient (ACLD) knees, during different physiological activities and muscle contraction patterns, can improve our understanding of the joint's altered biomechanics due to ACL deficiency as well as the efficacy and safety of the rehabilitations exercises. Methods: Twenty-five male volunteers, including 11 normal and 14 unilateral ACLD subjects, participated in this study.
